The Amytyville Horror

The Amityville Horror is a 1979 American horror film based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Jay Anson. The film was directed by Stuart Rosenberg and starred James BrolinMargot Kidder and Rod Steiger. After purchasing and moving into their new home on 112 Ocean Avenue, a house where a mass murder had been committed the year before, the Lutz family experiences a series of frightening paranormal events, causing them to flee the house only 28 days after moving in. The story is reportedly based on the real-life experiences of the Lutz family, though these events have been the subject of much controversy.

Dawn of the Dead

The remake and original both depict a handful of human survivors living in a shopping mall surrounded by swarms of zombies, but the details differ significantly. The Blob is a 1988 American monster horror film distributed by Tristar Pictures. It is a remake of the 1958 film of the same name, which starred Steve McQueen. The film was written by Chuck Russell and Frank Darabont and directed by Russell. The shooting took place in Abbeville, Louisiana.
